The Philippines is set to showcase its world-class tourism offerings at the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025, happening from January 15 to 20 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Organized by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) and the Department of Tourism (DOT), this event highlights the Philippines’ leadership in the ASEAN tourism landscape.
ATF 2025, themed “Unity in Motion: Shaping ASEAN’s Tourism Tomorrow,” emphasizes collaboration to boost regional tourism while celebrating diverse cultures, sustainable initiatives, and unique travel experiences across ASEAN.
“We are excited to present the Philippines as a leading travel destination within ASEAN and the broader international market at ATF 2025,” shared TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles. “This forum is an invaluable opportunity to strengthen our partnerships with ASEAN neighbors and highlight the unique, world-class offerings of the Philippines in a global tourism landscape.”
A major highlight of ATF 2025 is the three-day Travel Exchange (TRAVEX), running from January 15 to 17. This premier trade event fosters business-to-business connections and promotes ASEAN tourism products. The Philippine delegation, led by TPB COO Nograles, will include 17 private sector representatives from leading travel and tour agencies, MICE venues, airlines, and hotels and resorts.
Participating stakeholders include Salton Travel and Tours Corporation, Luxure Holidays Inc., Quasar Travel and Tours, MICE Managers Travel and Tours, Uni-Orient Travel, Fili Hotel Nustar Cebu, Philippine International Convention Center, Philippine Airlines, Novotel Manila Araneta City, The Manila Hotel, Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa, Seda Hotels & Resorts, Solaire Resort and Entertainment City, Best Western Plus The Ivywall Resort, AJ Bed and Breakfast, Lihim Resorts El Nido, and Megaworld Hotels & Resorts.

A media briefing on January 15 will provide updates on the Philippines’ tourism industry. On January 16, TPB will host a special dinner reception at Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel to celebrate ASEAN unity and promote Filipino culture. Guests will enjoy captivating performances by Acapellago, Sindaw Performing Arts Group, and violinist Juleous Gacang. A signature dish by renowned Filipino chef Don Baldosano and the Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel culinary team will complete the evening.
