The Philippines’ five-member boy group SB19 is the country’s flag bearer at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award 2024.
The Pinoy pop supergroup, composed of Josh, Justin, Ken, Pablo, and Stell, has secured a nomination for the Favorite Asian Act category of the annual American children’s award.
SB19 took to social media on June 5 to announce this good news and asked their A’TIN fans for support.
“Guess what?! We’re grateful to share that we’ve been nominated for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2024 in the category of Favorite Asian Act!” the boy band shared on their identical Facebook and Instagram posts.
“Your support means everything. To vote for us, visit http://KCA.NICKELODEON.TV now! #SB19 #KCA @Nick_Asia,” they added.
As the only Filipino nominee at the Kids’ Choice Awards this year, SB19 is up against Indonesian singer Tiara Andini, Japanese girl group NiziU, Malaysian singer Iman Troye, and K-Pop group ENHYPEN.
Fans can now support their favorite music artists by voting at http://KCA.Nickelodeon.tv. The awarding ceremony will be on July 17.
SB19 has been making waves in the international music scene since its debut in 2018.
In 2021, their song “Bazinga” dominated the Billboard Trending Songs Chart and took the Top 1 spot for four weeks. Following that year, they bagged seven awards at the 35th Awit Awards, making them the most-awarded artist at that year’s event. The Pinoy pop sensation also made it to the Top 20 Modern Boy Bands by MsMojo list in 2023.
