Good news, Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly de Leon fans! Star Cinema has finally released the teaser of the tandem’s dark comedy comeback film, A Very Good Girl.
The sneak peek into the film collaboration of the two prominent Filipina actresses which was first announced in March, was posted on August 4 on the official YouTube channel of ABS-CBN Star Cinema, giving us a glimpse of the two main characters of the film, Molly (Dolly de Leon) and Philo (Kathryn Bernardo).
The movie teaser shows Molly as a rich, powerful woman who doesn’t need “a man to rule the world,” as Philo describes her. Meanwhile, Philo appears to be strongly looking up to Molly whom she claims to remind her so much of her own mother.
Although the teaser didn’t reveal much about the plot, it is clear that someone is accused of murder, and that Philo lets out a very sharp and crispy curse at some point in the film.
After the teaser was uploaded, it received a lot of reactions and various comments from fans who were looking forward to watching the movie.
According to a comment from netizen @bobbyfied: “This is the kind of trailer that gets you. Yung wala kang naintindihan pero sure kang papanuorin mo. Can’t wait to watch this.”
Netizens also said that the 27-year-old Kathryn is getting better and better with her craft. As the teaser shows, the Blockbuster Queen of Philippine cinema is tempting us with a side of her that we’ve never seen before in her prior works.
Meanwhile, viewers also appreciated Hollywood-feted Dolly de Leon’s performance in Star Cinema’s brief teaser.

‘A Very Good Girl’ also stars Angel Aquino, Donna Cariaga, Chie Filomeno, Gillian Vicencio, Jake Ejercito, Nour Hoosmand, Kaori Oinuma, Althea Ruedas, Nathania Guerrero, and Ana Abad Santos.
The film was written by Marionne Dominique Mancol. Carmi Raymundo will act as the creative manager and Daniel Saniana as the creative supervisor.
