The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Tanghalang Manuel Conde, also known as Dream Theater, is reopening to in-person audiences after two years of online streaming through the “Navigating DaangDokyu.PH” and CCP Arthouse Cinema onsite film screenings

The unveiling of the new Tanghalang Manuel Conde marquee to mark the reactivation of the year-round program is scheduled on May 4, 2022 (Wednesday) at 2:00 PM at CCP in Pasay City.

The Navigating DaangDokyu.PH will screen the following films:

  • Fruto Corre’s “Tupada ’92: The Philippines in the Year of the Elections
  • EJ Mijares’ “Entablado
  • Mike de Leon’s “Signos

“The documentaries we screen in this event serve as valuable historical evidence that provides a more nuanced perspective of our country’s past, present, and future as we are on the cusp of either social transformation or perennial stagnation. We remain optimistic that this trove of films will further enlighten and move us towards meaningful action,” says the CCP in its invitation to the reopening.

The Dream Theater is outfitted to screen films in intimacy with its audience. Named after the highly-praised Filipino director Manuel Conde or Manuel Pabustan Urbano, known for his emphasis on translating folk characters to the silver screen. The Tanghalang Manuel Conde or Dream Theater is the first direct-to-home satellite venue for art and culture films and videos on the arts of the Philippines.

To ensure everyone’s safety, the CCP’s New Normal Protocol will be strictly followed. Please bring your vaccination cards, and read the full guidelines here: http://bit.ly/CCPNewNormal
