The multi-talented artist – one of the Philippines’ most popular female singers – has been making waves in the music world, not just locally but internationally.
From being the voice of a Disney theme song to co-hosting with Michael Bolton for a worldwide reality singing competition to conquering the global Billboard music charts, Morissette continues to make her mark and has a busy year ahead of her with upcoming performances in the United States, and more.
The Filipina singing sensation joins Good News Pilipinas! TV anchor Trixie Esguerra of Positivitrix for the premiere of the new series, “Filipino Pride Newsmakers”.
In the first episode, Morissette talks about what being labeled as Asia’s Phoenix means to her.
The first female OPM artist to achieve a top 10 (No. 7) rank for her song debut on the Billboard Next Big Sound chart is adorably shy as she chats about carrying Filipino pride on the world stage.
The young performer also shares stories of her personal growth as a performer and honing her craft as a first-time songwriter for her Signature EP album released in 2021.
Despite her world-class stature Morisette continues to welcome learning and reveals being mentored by American power balladeer Michael Bolton, her Asian Dream reality singing competition co-host.
Morissette looks forward to returning to performing in person before audiences and happily shares about her new EP “From The Sea” with Dave Lamar whom she married in 2021, her U.S.A. concert tours in February and March for “Mad About Love”, and “Threelogy USA Tour” in April with Christian Bautista and Erik Santos.
The new episode is part of the series introduced as the “Filipino Pride Newsmakers” which features live interviews with personalities from the Philippines and around the world who are making good news headlines for making every Filipino proud.
The upcoming series will also feature candid interviews with Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, Moy Ortiz of The CompanY, top singer-songwriter Trina Belamide, indigenous peoples advocate Bayang Barrios, world-class toy designer Quiccs, wealth management guru Chinkee Tan, and Liter of Light Filipino innovator Illac Diaz.
