Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups, and entrepreneurs are set to gather again for the annual Philippine SME Business Expo in a move to grow their businesses and bounce back from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 11th Philippine SME Business Expo organized by Mediacom Solutions Inc. has scheduled the local business gathering for March 16-18, 2022, virtually for the second year after its successful first edition in 2021.

The organizers of the 2nd Virtual Edition of the annual business gathering highlight the fact that SMEs comprising the economic lifeblood of the Philippines account for more than 99% of registered businesses in the country and create 6 out of 10 jobs. However, a lot of these SMEs are slow to transition or maximization of the digital platform for business.

“Unfortunately, these companies are struggling to embrace digital transformation more than large businesses. This risks economic inequality, strangling opportunities for growth, and dragging down business productivity,” the Philippine SME Business Expo observes.

The 2022 Virtual SME Business Expo will feature over 100 exhibitors showcasing new business solutions, like digital banking and financing, digital marketing, content creation, human resource, IP protection, and many more. The event will be accessible via mobile and desktop to provide an interactive environment for attendees to network with exhibitors and build new business relationships.

“We are looking forward to empowering thousands of SMEs, Start-Ups, and Entrepreneurs, who will be attending this 3-Day event virtually. Business Owners will be able to explore new business solutions to help them boost their business in a fast-growing digital economy. The virtual expo will also provide learning sessions from 30 industry speakers to help SMEs thrive in the new normal.” says Philippine SME Business Expo Managing Director, David Abrenilla.
