Filipino music icon Jose Mari Chan and McDonald’s Philippines Founder and chairman George Yang have teamed up to sing songs of good cheer and bring hope this Christmas in a fundraiser for the benefit of Filipino communities affected by Super Typhoon Odette.
Chan and Yang star in a new music video in support of McDonald’s’ Philippines’ “Share the Light” campaign which aims to spread kindness during the holiday season.
The two good friends can be seen going caroling on one silent night to come to the aid of Filipinos who were most affected by the recent typhoon in the video released on December 18, 2021.
The renowned composer-singer and Yang roam around the neighborhood as animated versions of themselves while singing classic holiday tunes to invite more people to donate to McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen which has pledged to serve meals to Filipinos in disaster-stricken areas.
The charity’s kitchens have initially committed to serving 20,000 meals to storm-ravaged communities in parts of the Visayas and Mindanao through the help of kind-hearted individuals who wish to get into the holiday spirit by giving back to those in need.
As of this writing, McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen has pledged to serve an additional 120,000 meals for our kababayans affected by Typhoon Odette.

McDonald’s Philippines, through its charity of choice, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), has opened its Kindness Kitchen which has served over 550,000 meals to Filipinos since its establishment.
Organizations and individuals are raising funds for the victims of the Category 5 Super Typhoon which has destroyed the livelihoods and properties of residents in hardest-hit areas.
These Filipino celebrities are raising funds for typhoon relief efforts, while another OPM icon Noel Cabangon will be performing his most well-known hits on his birthday concert fundraiser to help the victims of Supertyphoon Odette in the Dinagat Islands.
