LIST: 22 Philippine Books in Various Local Languages Released in December

KWF is set to release a monograph series in various languages.

Here is the list of 22 Philippine books published by the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) to be launched this December.

KWF is scheduled to publicly present the new monographs this December 16, 2021, at the Malacañang Palace Complex in Manila.

KWF notes the value of the new publications to Philippine literature as proof that the Filipino language can be effective in conveying both creative and intellectual pursuits.

“Ang paglalathala ng mga publikasyon ay isang paraan ng pagtatanghal sa kapasidad ng wikang Filipino bílang wika ng malikhain at intelektuwal na gawain. Isang paraan ito ng pag-iimbak ng karunungan sa iba’t ibang disiplina na Filipino ang wika sa pagsulat at saliksik,” stated KWF.

The 22 books to be launched are:

  1. Babasahing Pangkasarian (Moreal Camba, editor)
  2. Bungsod nga Gipangguba (Sulpicio Osorio)
  3. Lingguwistikong Etnograpiya (Wikang Asi)
  4. Lingguwistikong Etnograpiya (Wikang Bikol)
  5. Lingguwistikong Etnograpiya (Wikang Iguwak)
  6. Birtuwal: Mga Bago at Piling Tula (Gerome Dela Peña)
  7. Ugnayan: kaisipan, Kalinangan, Lipunan (Voltaire Villanueva)
  8. Nananalamin: Tatlong Dulang Sumasalamin sa
  9. Kontemporaneong Pamilya (Sonny Valencia)
  10. Mahiwagang Bulong sa Sinapupunan ng Himpapawid (Raul Funilas)
  11. Cubao Ilalim: Unang aklat (Tony Perez)
  12. Labas: Mga Dula sa Labas ng Sentro (Reuel M. Aguila)
  13. Diskors Pangmidya at Literatura (Teresita Fortunato)
  14. Batang Mandirigma at Lima pang Dula (Arthur P. Casanova)
  15. Mga Kuwentong-bayan ng Timog Cordillera (Jimmy B. Fong)
  16. Problemang Mindanao: Ugat at Pag-unawa (Abraham P. Sakili)
  17. Manwal ng Bahay-wika, Padayon sa Pagtindog (John Iremil Teodoro, ed.)

The book launch can be viewed live on the Facebook pages of Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM), National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino.
