Ayala Malls is extending its facilities to support local businesses and community merchants through its Bayanihan bazaars, a series of curated fairs in collaboration with home, food, and fashion vendors which started in November to last until the yearend.
Shoppers are invited to discover goods that not only light up the home but also spark thoughtfulness and care for groups affected by the pandemic.
One of the vendors to spot at the food market is Manong Rogelio, who serves delicious Pinoy street-style ice cream in Glorietta. Dressed to impress, Manong Rogelio stands out in his formal clothes as he scoops frozen delights for customers from his Miro Ice Cream stand.
Another is 65-year old Tatay Felix Endrina, the viral taho vendor whose name had spread far and wide for selling his local specialty in social events in and outside of Metro Manila. His business began in 1979 and it eventually grew exponentially through word of mouth as he shared his contact details for event bookings be it for weddings or mall bazaars.
For those who live in the South, Kuya Toper is surely a familiar face. A seller of Ice Drop desserts along Madrigal Avenue located within Alabang, he does not view his disability as a hindrance, but as a motivation to keep on moving forward. Working along the span of Madrigal Business Park and Alabang Town Center, the South’s premier suburban lifestyle center south of Metro Manila, he will set up shop for the meantime at the Town’s bazaar until December 23, excluding Saturdays.
Ayala Malls also partnered with Christmas Décor Producers and Exporters Association of the Philippines (CDPEAP), which is composed of seasoned Filipino decor exporters who are currently facing the challenges caused by the pandemic and the influx of imported machine-made decors sold in the market.
Also supporting micro-entrepreneurs, visit various Ayala Malls for the Weekenders PH booths, which is a specialty gifting association made up of mompreneurs who used to make a living through live events. Now making waves through passion hubs, the group infused Oscar Mejia’s bespoke fragrance specially made for Ayala Malls onto the booths. The signature scent is anchored on the feeling of a warm embrace, with clean and familiar notes that exude a sense of nostalgia and comfort unique to the Ayala Malls experience.
Next is a group of food vendors and restaurateurs including Expofairs Management Corp. and Mercato initially affected by multiple restrictions. Their partnership with Ayala Malls brings back flavorful options and gastronomic night markets for mall-goers to enjoy.
Furthering the presence of Filipino talent in the fashion arena, the Philippine Fashion Coalition is setting up at the malls with new styles and collections by Adante Leyesa, Agsam Fashion Fern, Aishe Fashion, Alchemista, Ann Casas Designs, BARBA, Beatriz / Costa del Sol, Calli, Cora Manimbo, Crystalworks by Jo, Daniel Manila, Earl Gariando, HABI, Henece Jewelry, JER SHELL Accessories, Jhaz Footwear, Lagom by Anne Tuviera, Leura Organix, Lourdes Navalta Wood Cut Outs, Mjorian, Nick Automatic / Island Home, ORIAS Essentials, Regina Aquino Studio, Richey Bags, Shine and Sparkle, Up Carry / Bare Bars, Vedasto Leather Goods, and WYC (Wear Your Culture).
Gather memories, faith, and generosity
Awe at the spirit of the holiday as adults and children alike watch the entertaining display featuring numerous designs which give tribute to Filipino culture.
Ayala Malls is hosting Parol installations and exhibits to dazzle the young and old during the holiday season. These will be held until the end of 2021 in multiple malls including Ayala Malls Circuit and Abreeza.
Meanwhile, community choirs will fill the air with heartwarming music that stir the soul with excitement as one shops or dines. End the night by celebrating each other’s achievements in front of the festive visual fireworks display and LED show in Ayala Malls.
With another year coming to a close, give thanks and share in the community’s collective prayers as Ayala Malls hosts Simbang Gabi in Circuit Makati, Cloverleaf, Harbor Point, MarQuee, Feliz, Manila Bay, Alabang Town Center, Ayala Center Cebu, Central Bloc, and The District Dasmarinas. Those staying at home can also join Simbang Gabi through online services held in Solenad and Centrio.
Ayala Malls Marketing Director Eunice Velasco shares, “Gathering takes on a new meaning in Ayala Malls. Proximity and physical presence are not the only ways to gather. We can be together, if only through common values, shared hopes, and a collective purpose. The malls are where we can shop and dine for the season, yes. They’re also the venues that offer a sense of community where inclusivity and safety of our patrons are among our priorities.”
Given this, Ayala Malls makes a conscious effort to deepen its relationships with the various communities it serves through community activities and customized programs to better serve the diverse cultures of each establishment it operates.
