The Philippines’ bet, Maureen Montagne, has successfully raised the country’s flag in Albania by winning the Miss Globe 2021 crown in Albania.

The Filipino-American pageant veteran bested more than 40 candidates from all over the world and won the coveted Miss Globe title during the grand coronation held on November 5 (November 6 in the Philippines) in Tirana.

In the competition, Maureen was stunning in her Sampaguita-inspired national costume, aced the swimsuit round in her black two-piece bikini, and shined in her gold dress during the evening gown segment.

During the Top 5 question-and-answer portion, the 28-year-old Filipino-French descent was asked: “Do you think beauty is a merit and how can we enrich it with other values?”

Maureen answered: “I think that true beauty comes from within. To be a Miss Globe is to be a beauty that inspires.

“What makes us beautiful is our smiles,” she went on, “it is what we do for our community, it is how we give back to others, and it is how we carry ourselves through lives.

“I believe that everyone has beauty inside of them and I believe it is our duty to share it with the world and to give back and to truly inspire others,” she added.

Here is the list of official winners of the Miss Globe 2021 pageant:

  • Miss Globe 2021 – Maureen Montagne, Philippines
  • First runner-up – Ester Ogechi Gabriel, Nigeria
  • Second runner-up – Melike Bali, Turkey
  • Third runner-up – Jhosskaren Carrizo Smiler, Venezuela
  • Fourth runner-up – Hailey Hamelin-Wilson, Canada

The newly crowned beauty queen, who won Miss Eco International first runner-up 2019 in Egypt, duplicated the feat of Ann Colis who won the Miss Globe crown for the Philippines in 2015.

Montagne now joins her fellow Binibining Pilipinas sisters in bringing pride and glory to the country, namely Cindy Obeñita who bagged the Philippines’ second Miss Intercontinental crown in Egypt on October 29, and Alexandra Faith Garcia who was hailed as Miss Aura International in Turkey on October 3.
